At Oasis, we believe in the power of proactive, connected primary care. Todayโs providers face increasing demand and limited resources, leaving many patients underserved โ and we see a better way forward. By modernizing how care is delivered, Oasis empowers primary care teams to focus on what matters most: meaningful relationships, prevention, and better outcomes. Our technology-enabled model brings together clinical support, practice management solutions, and data-driven insights to strengthen community-based care. Together, weโre reimagining primary care so providers can thrive, patients can feel seen and supported, and every community can experience the promise of better health.

โIn our small town in northwestern Georgia, we have a hard time keeping hospitals open. If our practice should close, it would put a major strain on my patients and compromise their care significantly. So it's very important for me to be able to stay in town and provide my patients the care they need. Oasis allows us to maintain the care our population needs. Oasis partners with me to assure that I'm meeting care goals, including providing programs for patient screenings, patient follow up, and medication management. Oasis helps me keep my finger on the pulse of what my patients are doing and what they need ahead of time so I can be more productive and provide better care.โ

Dr. John Ropp has practiced family medicine in Hartsville, South Carolina for over 20 years โ first in a hospital-employed role, and for the last 14 years as a physician-owner at Palmetto Family and Senior Care. Together with longtime partner Dr. Bill Long, he cares for patients of all ages and backgrounds across the 30,000+ residents across the county. โWe love our patients, our staff, and being in private practice.โ Dr. Ropp recognized that medicine โ including in Hartsville โ was changing and was committed to his community and staying in practice for a long time.
When Oasis approached the practice, Dr. Ropp was initially cautious. โBut, when we got to know Oasis, we really got the sense that you were serious about the work. Oasis was different from the beginning.โ Since then, the relationship has grown steadily โ with real operational improvements, consistent support, and promises kept.
Dave grew up in the home of a primary care physician practicing in a town with a population of 928 people. His living room was a waiting room when the clinic wasnโt open.ย Throughout his career practicing emergency medicine and home-based care for high-risk seniors he has witnessed a steady and disappointing decline in access to high-quality primary care in many communities.
Dave shares, โMy friends practicing in those communities are great clinicians; highly dedicated and under-supported.ย I am delighted and inspired to provide relevant and timely financial and clinical support to ensure ongoing access to care in towns like my hometown.โ

Raised in small-town Minnesota, by a father who ran a home health agency, Kariโs passion for rural health was clear from the start. That foundation inspired a career spanning leadership roles across care delivery, insurance, value-based care, and global health. Her deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations โ and belief in the power of proactive primary care โultimately led to the co-founding of Oasis. โOasis was the right concept at the right time,โ Kari says, recognizing the urgent need to sustain independent primary care. For her, the mission is deeply personal: โItโs more than a job โitโs a calling to ensure primary care remains viable and thriving for generations to come.โ
